At long last AEG has come up with a definitive cultural reference for the land of Rokugan. The Emerald Empire will be a hardcover companion to their Legend of the Five Rings 3rd edition RPG.There are many who might say that L5R is about as accurate a view of Asia as Dungeons and Dragons is an accurate view of Europe, but at least this Asian-inspired game now gets a definitive political and social hierarchy and a detailed discussion of Magistrates and their role in the empire.
The Emerald Empire: The Legend of the Five Rings Companion is due in June 2007. The Samurai Edition of AEG's flagship CCG, Legend of the Five Rings is released in July, 2007.
